Hi Everyone,
I have developed a custom jar that uses the Remedy Java API and its
purpose is solely to create a Remedy Ticket and return the ticket
number. Pretty basic, and it works when executed outside of the IDM
environment.

I have moved my custom jar and the two required Remedy Jars that i
used (arapi63.jar and arutil63.jar) into
/opt/novell/eDirectory/lib/dirxml/classes and i also moved a number of
required Remedy library files into
/opt/novell/eDirectory/lib/nds-modules/jre/lib/i386 and i restarted
ndsd. I have written some ecma script to execute my custom code, and
hooked that code into a driver to run whenever a user is deleted in the
vault.

I know my code is executing within the IDM environment because i am
writting my own log file in my Java code which is simply telling me how
far its getting in my code. At one point in my code, when i tell it to
create the Remedy Ticket, execution seems to stop. The Remedy ticket is
never created and control is never returned to the driver.

Has anyone ever experienced anything like this, having code work
outside but not inside the IDM environment? If so, was it resolved and
how?

The Environment:
IDM 3.5.1
eDir 8.8 SP2

Custom jar was tested using
java version "1.5.0"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build
pxi32dev-20061002a (SR3) )
IBM J9 VM (build 2.3, J2RE 1.5.0 IBM J9 2.3 Linux x86-32
j9vmxi3223-20061001 (JIT enabled)

Compiled using: javac 1.5.0
