Hello All !

I've got a issue with groups in my environment, but I don't think it's
specific to groups but that's where it's showing up for me.

Here's the environment:

AD -> IDV(edir 8.8.2) <-> AppTree(eDir 8.8.2)

Here's the Issue:

There are Dynamic groups that exist in the AppTree that are used for
authorization to certain parts of the app. These dynamic groups are
based on attrs that flow from the IDV.

However, it has now been decided that membership in AppTree groups
should also be able to be managed from AD. Ok, we create the groups in
AD with the same name, set a attr in AD so that the group will flow into
IDV, which it does just fine. However when it tries to go to AppTree I
get this error in the Sub Channel of the IDV driver:

DirXML Log Event -------------------

Driver: \DEVIDTREE\JEDI\SERVICES\IDM\DriverSet\eDir-ID-to-App

Channel: Subscriber

Object: \DEVIDTREE\JEDI\VAULT\GROUPS\MOS_employee_adminL1S upport

Status: Error

Message: Code(-9010) An exception occurred:
novell.jclient.JCException: createEntry -606 ERR_ENTRY_ALREADY_EXISTS

Shouldn't it match? And sync?

So I think my question boils down to can I sync the 'static' members of
a 'static' group in IDV to the 'static' members of a 'dynamic' group in
the AppTree?

I hope I explained that OK....

TIA,

Geoff
