Hi
I'm using IDM 3.5.1 to sync several trees from a metadirectory. One
tree already contains all the users so I want a match to happen. Most
of the time it works OK but sometimes the matching rule does not get a
result back and creates a new user object. I'm not able to reproduce
this error since deleting the new object and running the object from
the metadirectory again finds a match until the next it happens with
another user. Anybody else seen this happening?

Here is the trace (edited) when it does not find a match:

Code:
--------------------
<nds dtdversion="3.5" ndsversion="8.x">
<source>
<product version="3.5.10.20070918 ">DirXML</product>
<contact>Novell, Inc.</contact>
</source>
<input>
<query class-name="User" dest-dn="\EDUDIR\" scope="subtree">
<search-class class-name="User"/>
<search-attr attr-name="workforceID">
<value timestamp="1200346382#35" type="string">197001011234</value>
</search-attr>
<search-attr attr-name="Category">
<value>Emp</value>
<value>EmpIST</value>
</search-attr>
<read-attr/>
</query>
</input>
</nds>

</output>
</nds>

--------------------

And here it is when it works:

Code:

</output>
</nds>
[06/09/08 10:13:05.580]:eDirectory_AK-META-TREE PT: Match found: src-dn='\EDUDIR\UTB\GEMO\BrP\AnnikaK'
--------------------

The user object in this example has been in the directory for a couple
of years so I'm sure it was there when the query was run.
