I am performing an upgrade of IDM 3.0 to IDM 3.5.1 (on SLES 9).
I am aware that I need to upgrade Identity Manager policies to the "new
architecture" according to the documentation in order to use some of the
enhanced functionality. That's not a problem.
However the documentation says that I also need to upgrade driver
configuration files and says that the procedure is somewhat complex. If
my driver is working as desired after the upgrade is there really any
need to perform this second step? It looks to be a potentially time-
consuming exercise and I was hoping to be able to delay doing it until I
have some other need (and the free time) to do some work on the drivers.
I realise that not doing this step I might be missing out on something
but is it safe to delay it for some time?
