I am sending off an email message to the help desk
from the IDM 3 AD driver. The process is straight
forward and works well, except for the lack of CR
and LF in the 15 lines in the message body.

How do I insert a CR and LF into the message body
so that the message is nicely formatted?

I have a variable called 'Email-CRLF' and have tried
setting it to '\r\n' and '&#13&#10' and '&#xD&#xA'.

The result is the message body contains the actual
strings, instead of the required CR and LF characters.

Here's a cut down copy of my code:

<do-set-local-variable name="Email-EOL">
<arg-string>
<token-text xml:space="preserve">\r\n</token-text>
</arg-string>
</do-set-local-variable>
....
....
<do-send-email id="IDM eMail Driver" server="~Email-SMTP-Server~"
type="text">
<arg-string name="to">
<token-global-variable name="Email-HelpDesk"/>
</arg-string>
<arg-string name="subject">
<token-text xml:space="preserve">New Account: </token-text>
<token-op-attr name="CN"/>
</arg-string>
<arg-string name="message">
<token-text xml:space="preserve">Automated email from Identity
Manager.</token-text>
<token-local-variable name="Email-EOL"/>
<token-text xml:space="preserve">Please use the abc utility to create a
new</token-text>
<token-local-variable name="Email-EOL"/>
<token-text xml:space="preserve">account with the following
details:</token-text>
<token-local-variable name="Email-EOL"/>
<token-local-variable name="Email-EOL"/>
...
...
</arg-string>
</do-send-email>
