Hello everyone

I have a question regarding DAL Global Queries. what I would like is
the ability to place a dynamic search root in the DAL query, so that,
based on a value of the "dn" variable, provided to the query , it can
use that in the Search Root of the query.

Is there a way to provide a dynamic search root to a DAL global query.
below is what I have put together so far on this.

var dn= form.getValue("Environment"); //assigns selection in previous
DN picklist out to a variable
form.showMsg("current dn is: " + dn); //mesage for debugging puposes.
IDVault.globalQuery("Databases", "GetDatabase",
{"searchbaseParam":dn)});
//Query statement that assigns results to the Databases field (DN
Picklist) based on the query results.

I have defined the "searchbaseParam" Parameter within my "GetDatabase"
query, and referred to it as %searchbaseParam% further on down the
query, in the "Search Root" textbox.

All I am getting at the moment is:

12:07:11,658 ERROR [VirtualDataAccess] The parameter key:
searchbaseParam is not valid for the DAL query: GetDatabase.
12:07:11,660 ERROR [GlobalQuery] The parameter key: searchbaseParam is
not valid for the DAL query: GetDatabase.
com.novell.srvprv.spi.vdata.exception.VirtualDataE xception: The
parameter key: searchbaseParam is not valid for the DAL query:
GetDatabase.

Any ideas would be great..

thanks.
