I happened to be doing some tinkering with /opt/novell/eDirectory/sbin/pre_ndsd_start script and I discovered the following block of code in it:

if [ -f /opt/novell/eDirectory/lib/dirxml/dirxml-jni-env ] #added by IDM
then #added by IDM
. /opt/novell/eDirectory/lib/dirxml/dirxml-jni-env #added by IDM
fi

Which is all fine and dandy, except that the EXACT same block was in there three times in a row.
I'm guessing it doesn't need to be executed three times, so I commented out the other two.

Me thinks there is probably a bug in one of the install scripts for Linux though that appends that string whether it exists or not.

This box has not been upgraded to the IDM 4 series yet so it may already be resolved, but I thought I would pass it on.
