obviously not seeing the obvious, I hope someone else can tell me what I'm doing wrong. Try to run the UserJCOTest tool and get this:

idmserver:/opt/novell/eDirectory/lib/dirxml/rules/sapum # java -classpath $CLASSPATH:. UserJCOTest

Exception while initializing JCO client.
java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError: JCO.classInitialize(): Could not load middleware layer 'com.sap.mw.jco.rfc.MiddlewareRFC'
JCO.nativeInit(): Could not initialize dynamic link library sapjcorfc [sapjcorfc (libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory)]. java.library.path [/usr/lib/jvm/java-1_6_0-ibm-1.6.0/jre/lib/i386:/opt/sap/jco2:/opt/sap/jco3:/usr/lib]
Verify proper installation of JCO Native support libraries packaged with JCO client.

Of course I've installed JCo according to the docs and it looks ok to me. Running UserJCO3Test work, btw:

idmserver:/opt/novell/eDirectory/lib/dirxml/rules/sapum # java -classpath $CLASSPATH:. UserJCO3Test

** The SAP JCO client installation has been verified to be correct.

This is on a 32bit SLES11 box with current updates from the channel. IDM361 connected system install, NIdM_Driver_for_SAP, JCo 2.1.8 + 3.0.3...

Any ideas?

Cheers, Lothar
