Ah the joys of the internet. Here is an issue from 2006, that is
happening to me today.

Exact same error.

But on latest IDM 3.6.1, on eDir 885 FTF1, SLES 10 SP2, GW 8HP2, latest
GW driver.

I can add more info to this now. Looks like we had the user in the GW
system before, deleted him as a real user, then recreated him as an
External user, same error message, trace looks much the same on the RL
side.

Then we thought that maybe there was a remnant of the user left in the
GW DB's, so we tried to add him by hand in GW, and that name worked.

Any thoughts?
